Resonate

'Resonate' - Music and multimedia performance

Venue: Frome Community College - Media Arts Studio

Date: Sunday 16th December 2007

Time: 7.30pm (8.00pm start)

Resonate is a music performance event with a twist. Held at Frome Community College's Media Arts Centre, 'Resonate' is an event for electronic and experimental music, visual images, multimedia, film and improvised performance.

We are building on the growing interest in this area of performance as seen in the success of similar events such as 'Random Function' held at Bristol's 'Watershed' venue and 'Re:sounds' organised by the ICIA at Bath University. Resonate is here to give musicians in the local community the opportunity to work and experiment with established artists from many different fields. It is a place where people can try out new performance ideas in a relaxed and well equipped venue. We are committed to promoting the talent right here in Frome and the surrounding area.

The next 'Resonate' event will feature acclaimed Frome based electronic musician Joseph Hyde. Adrian Smith will be doing a visual and electronic set while the words of performance poets Crysse Morrison and Hazel Stewart (a.k.a. Live & Lippy) are going to be given a live visual spin by Howard Vause, who will also perform some live songs to a video accompaniment.

If you would like to get involved in Resonate please contact Howard Vause at the Media Arts Centre or visit the 'Resonant Frequency' website www.resonantfrequency.co.uk where you can register your interest, be kept informed and watch footage of recent performances.

If you would like to come along on the 16th please reserve your ticket(s) by emailing or calling Howard at the venue 01373 469081 - HVause@educ.somerset.gov.uk
