Schools: Frome has some excellent schools. The Frome Area Schools Federation has 17 member schools. As Frome is in Somerset the three tier system is used with primary schools covering ages 4 to 9, Middle Shools covering 9 to 13 and then the scondary school, Frome Community College covering 13 to 19. Because Frome is located so close to the Wiltshire border (about 3 miles) there are also several possible schools nearby (e.g. in Chapmanslade and Corsley) which are part of Wiltshire but are used by people from Frome.
